Full wrap, partial wrap, or cut vinyl: what your fleet actually needs

Full wrap, partial wrap, or cut vinyl: what your fleet actually needs

Three very different price points for the same goal. How to pick without overspending or under-selling the vehicle.

Cut vinyl: the working truck

Name, phone, website, service list. No printed background, so the vehicle colour shows through and there is nothing to fade unevenly. The cheapest option, the fastest to apply, and completely appropriate for a clean white work truck.

Partial wrap: the best value

Printed panels over part of the vehicle, designed against the factory paint. You get most of the visual impact of a full wrap for a fraction of the material and labour, which is why most growing fleets land here.

Full wrap: the rolling billboard

Every painted panel covered. This is the right call when the vehicle itself is the brand, when the base colour is wrong, or when the design needs edge-to-edge imagery.

What actually decides longevity

Cast film and a matching overlaminate on anything with curves, and clean cured paint underneath. Calendered film on a curved panel lifts at the edges, and skipping the laminate is how a wrap goes chalky in a Georgia summer.

A practical fleet approach

Do one vehicle first. Live with it for a few weeks, see how it photographs and how customers react, then roll the design across the fleet in batches so you are never without every vehicle at once.
