Frequently asked questions

The questions we actually get asked on quotes, answered the way we would answer them on the phone. If yours is not here, call (470) 820-5070.

Quotes and timelines

How long does a sign take?

It depends on what the sign is. Cut vinyl and DOT lettering are often same-day or next-day once artwork is confirmed. Banners and yard signs run a few days. Fabricated channel letters and monuments are measured in weeks, and permit review — which is outside anyone's control — is usually the longest single stage.

What do you need from me to quote?

Project type, the address, rough size, your timeline, and any artwork or reference photos. A photo of the wall or the vehicle helps more than a description. If you do not have artwork yet, that is fine; tell us and we will start from your logo.

Do you charge for a quote?

No. Send the details and we will come back with a price and a schedule.

Can you work to a fixed deadline?

Yes, and the earlier you tell us the date the better. Give us the date even if the design is not final, so production time is reserved.

Design and artwork

I only have a logo on a business card. Is that enough?

It is enough to start. We will rebuild the mark clean and production-ready. If you have vector files or a brand book, send those and we will work inside them.

Will I see the sign before you build it?

Yes. We place the sign at real size on a photo of your actual building or vehicle, not a stock template. That is the cheapest point in the project to change your mind.

Can you match my exact brand colour?

We match paint and vinyl to your specified colour. Illuminated faces shift slightly when lit, and we account for that in the specification rather than discovering it on install day.

Permits, codes, and installation

Do I need a permit?

Almost always for exterior and illuminated signage, and the rules differ by city and by shopping-centre landlord. Tell us the address early so review time is built into the schedule.

Do you handle the installation?

Yes, including bucket truck, scissor lift, and boom lift work for high facades. The crew that builds your sign is the crew that installs it.

Can you remove my old sign?

Yes, including patching what it leaves behind and disposing of it. On a rebrand, re-facing an existing cabinet is often cheaper and faster than a new build.

Do you work after hours?

Yes, where a landlord or an operating business needs the work outside trading hours.

Vehicles

How long does a wrap last?

With cast film and a matching overlaminate on sound paint, a full wrap is a multi-year graphic. Skipping the laminate, or applying to fresh or damaged paint, is what shortens that.

Will a wrap damage my paint?

Film applied to factory paint in good condition removes cleanly. Repainted or damaged panels are the risk, and we will tell you before we start if we see one.

What does the law require on my truck door?

The legal carrier name and the USDOT number on both sides, in a contrasting colour, readable from 50 feet in daylight. Depending on your authority you may also need MC, GVW, KYU, VIN, or unit numbers. Bring the paperwork and we will lay it out.

Do you do single trucks or only fleets?

One truck is a normal job here. Owner-operators are welcome.

Working with EMTA

What is actually made in your shop?

Cutting, routing, printing, laminating, assembly, and wiring all happen in the Alpharetta shop on our own equipment. Nothing central to the sign is subcontracted, which is why we can commit to a schedule.

What area do you cover?

Alpharetta and metro Atlanta, including North Fulton and Forsyth. Tell us where the job is and we will confirm.

Can I visit the shop?

Yes. Bring your vehicle, storefront photos, or a rough idea to 1068 Union Center Dr, Suite D25, Alpharetta, Monday to Friday.

Do you take on small jobs?

Yes. A single lobby logo, one banner, one set of door magnets are all normal work.

Still have a question?

Send the project type, location, size, and timeline. We will come back with a quote.
